Mainnet release steps are determined, and the exact date is near

Stage ZERO:

  • The trial operation goes by the staking mechanism and PBC (Polar Byzantine Consensus), it’s supposed to achieve hundreds of node-level Byzantine consensus and can verify the stability of the network under complex voting conditions.
  • The system will support EVM and allow the mature developers, components, and users in Ethereum to smoothly migrate to the MultiVAC ecosystem.
  • In order to ensure the safety of the system and prevent unexpected accidents, ordinary users cannot send transactions or create contracts at this stage. Only whitelisted users can perform transfers and contract operations.
  • We will conduct attack tests, stress tests, and other security checks on the network to verify that the Mainnet is still safe and reliable in actual operation.

Stage ONE:

  • After verifying the safety and reliability of the Mainnet, MultiVAC will officially open to the community. Based on HSM (Hyperspatial Storage Mechanism), MultiVAC miners can hand over core data to storage nodes, and perform voting accusations with only a small amount of critical data.
  • The system runs in the form of a single shard, with a maximum efficiency of about 500 TPS. This performance should be sufficient for most application scenarios in this initial stage. We will first verify the function of transactions and contract processing and the cross-sharding function will be disabled at this stage.
  • Users can experience the main functions of MultiVAC, including sending transactions, creating contracts, interacting with contracts, etc. The transaction fee on MultiVAC will be less than 1 cent, which is conducive to the migration of a large number of decentralized applications to MultiVAC.

Stage ADVANCED:

  • The network will open the sharding function. Based on ITM (Interstellar Transmission Model), MultiVAC will achieve efficient data transmission across shards.
  • The system will support up to 8 shards and the maximum efficiency reaches 4000 TPS. Cross-shard transactions can be confirmed within 2 blocks. Since the data to be stored and transmitted by each node is always proportional to the number of transactions in this shard, although the overall transaction volume of the network is very large, the system load of a single miner node is not too high.
  • Users can achieve efficient cross-shard transactions, and contract developers can choose whether to upgrade the contract status by shards according to their own needs. MultiVAC will launch the contract improvement mechanism and guiding instructions at this stage.

Stage ULTIMATE:

  • The network will gradually expand to 64 shards through the Shard Split mechanism, with a maximum efficiency of 32000 TPS, to cope with the rapid growth of blockchain application scenarios.
  • MultiVAC sandbox: At this stage, MultiVAC will introduce a sandbox mechanism to support more virtual machines. The underlying storage and transmission system of MultiVAC will serve as the infrastructure to provide good support for the complex upper-level application development environment. At this point, MultiVAC will implement a three-level architecture: 1. Low-level storage and transmission; 2. Middle-level virtual machine and operating environment; 3. Upper-level decentralized applications.
  • In the future, the scale of the network can grow up and adjust by itself to match the requirements. The whole system will run adaptively and persistently.
